  • Director

    Alex spent 12 years in the Royal Navy, qualifying as a Lynx Mk.7 helicopter pilot in the commando role. He went on to fly Lynx Mk.9A and Wildcat BRH globally, including tours of Afghanistan, the Arctic and amphibious deployments on HMS Ocean and Bulwark specialising as a Forward Air Controller (Airborne). His last role was as an aviation special projects procurement officer in the Ministry of Defence. Since founding Anglesey Associates Ltd. Alex has worked with a number of clients in the Defence industry focussing on high quality, in person service to solve complex problems. Alex has a BSc (first class) in Aviation Systems Management and an MA in Defence and Security Studies (Maritime) and has since completed further studies in Business Management with the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is a member of RUSI and the Naval Review.

  • Senior Consultant

    David spent 16 years in the British Army split between flying tours (Lynx Mk.7 and AH-64D Apache) and significant time in both DSTL and MOD Abbey Wood as a requirements manager. In a varied military career, David deployed to Afghanistan as an Apache pilot with the US Army and served in specialist roles in the Permanent Joint Headquarters covering operations throughout the Middle East. David brings a wealth of experience in tender bids from his time in service and wider commercial experience, which includes projects with the Department of Transport and major Defence businesses. His academic and professional experience make him an ideal fit for clients who seek hands-on business support.

  • Research Lead

    Chelsey is an accomplished academic, having graduated with an LLB (Hons) from Bristol University and a Masters in History from Swansea University. She subsequently specialised as an academic and lecturer in European history and political science. Chelsey brings significant research experience and is fundamental to the delivery of our internal and external research work, particularly regarding the interaction between the Defence industry and global governments. She is a proficient French speaker and has experience working with both UK and French academic institutions.

  • Aviation Consultant

    Paul spent 12 years in the Royal Navy as a specialist aviator and flying instructor. He operated Lynx Mk.7, Mk.9A and Wildcat BRH helicopters on global operations, achieving Central Flying School accreditation as a Qualified Helicopter Instructor. Now as a qualified commercial helicopter pilot, Paul provides Anglesey Associates Ltd with aviation and training expertise (governance, operational implementation and training needs analysis) and assists with the commercialisation of research projects.

  • Military Sciences Analyst

    Edward joins Anglesey Associates from the Department of Business and Trade, having worked in operational delivery and stakeholder relations. He graduated from UCL with a BA (hons) in History, with a focus on Eastern and Southern Europe, particularly Hungary and the Balkans. Ed brings academic research skills to his role, and also first-hand experience of the relationship between government and the private sector.
